We are looking for a freelamce swim coach for our 10 year old daughter and 11 year old son. Daughter was on the International School swim team in Brussels but narrowly missed the cut here in Beijing. Can you point me to your swim coach?

It’s a crowded time you are Travelling. I’d recommended you hire a car and visit Shaxi village. It’s across the boarder in dali, 3hr drive. Beautiful. Also wenhai village near Lijiang is also quite pretty. Hike up there for a day trip. Enjoy.

Hi Mei,

I enjoy your writing on Yunnan and traveling in China. I’ve got another question related to the tourist crowds- we will be in Yunnan from April 30th until May 4th, flying into Lijiang from Shanghai. I know you recommend not traveling in China during this time, but somehow we are going there. Can you recommend some less crowded places to go in the area, or will it all be totally packed with people?

看了您这篇文章，引发了我内心强烈的共鸣！我是刚工作一年的硕士毕业生，年前不顾身边所有人的反对辞去了待遇丰厚的工作，打算花一年的时间骑单车游遍江南山水名胜。不是为了旅游，而是为了在读万卷书之后行万里路，丰富自己的内心，体验各地鲜活的生态！
无意中发现了wildchina——这家机构与我看过的BBC的纪录片重名，她的理念好像能为我的兴趣和事业找到绝佳的契合点。期望将来自己也能创立一家这样的公司，去推广这样的理念，并能从中挣钱。

非常赞同您的看法。素质的提高是旅游观念变化的一个决定因素。现在欧美的旅游方式已经早已从大众旅游，发展向FIT定制旅游。客人们更加喜欢花时间去体会真正的当地生活，体会原汁原味的本地特色，比如到东来顺尝一尝地道的涮羊肉，去重庆吃鸳鸯火锅，和云南的少数民族座谈，甚至和中国的老百姓打打麻将，学学玩斗地主。可以看出，因为旅游素质的提高，大多数欧美客人已经不满足于传统旅游的上车睡觉，下车看庙，而是注重在与真实的中国交流的过程中得到满足。

现在的中国旅游市场，无论是国内游和出境游，现在大多数客人们第一关心确实是，哪个旅行社更便宜，哪个旅行社招牌大不会骗我，哪家社提供的旅游景点多，餐多，哪个更加“超值”。但是“超值”总是有代价的，只不过这部分“代价”不会在出行前让旅行者阵中的看到。

其实，现在中国人对自己的旅游也能看到这个问题。但是因为国内生产生活水平现在还是一个发展中国家的水平，大多数的老百姓对旅游的看法主要还是像您说的，去四处看看，我去过多少地方的虚荣心大于我真正感受和看到了什么。

但是从现在中青年一代的旅游方式来看，中国人的旅游素质和消费水平在随着当前工资收入水平的提高，对新鲜事物的接受和眼界的开阔，在不断变化发展着。因为更多的年轻人出行机会，包括公司出差，奖励旅游等，他们的眼界有了更大的开阔，通过对比，他们的旅游需求也更加细腻而且定制化。此外，所以他们的出游态度转变，不仅仅会影响自己的出游需要，更会影响他们的亲朋好友，使之成为一个无形的网络，素质也在不断地提高。

比如说，更多的人在出行的时候，在选择一个shopping tour 和non shopping tour的时候，会偏向选择后者，原因很简单，如果只比shopping tour多花一点钱（而这点钱对自己家庭的总体存收水平没有太大影响的话），中国人也希望享受到更多的自由旅游时间，感受没有shopping影响的纯粹旅游，甚至深度定制旅游团。）出境游时，更多的人会选择一国或一地深度旅游，如果no shopping的价格涨价在他们能够接受的一个范围内，他们会希望选择no shopping。

旅游，不仅是开阔眼界，同时也是通过走出去，了解更多在不同国家和地区的不同的人不同的生活。我非常欣赏WildChina在接待客人的同时，能够感动那些来自于不同国家和地区的旅游者，通过真实的感受，唤起他们的社会责任感，帮助那些真正需要帮助的人。如果说，帮助自己周围的人，是favour的话,帮助那些在不同地区的同胞是patriot的话，那么能够使得不同国家，不同地区，不同肤色的人聚到一个地方互相帮助，那才是真正的social responsibility.我觉得这个基本的目的不是说只有美国人，或者在美国居住的人才会有这种责任心，而是整个世界人民的一个共同的world responsibility。这是不但是做旅游企业的小梦想，而是全世界人民的一个大大的梦想。希望我们在吟唱MJ的Heal the world 的同时，能够通过我们的实际行动为这个世界做点什么，这才是WildChina的真正精神所在。
